Guinness World Record Attempt

The Vision of Lip Dub Fort Smith is to break the Guinness World Record for the single largest lip-syncing event. As a part of Fort Smith’s Bicentennial Celebration, we will create a viral video promoting Fort Smith as a world-class city. This will take place during the 85th Rodeo Parade. Marshals Encampment

Re-Enactors will setup and maintain camps demonstrating how Marshals, Deputies and Posse members lived while traveling the Indian Territory in search of criminals. Several local re-enactor groups will present the histories of actual Deputies and the perils they faced on their mission to bring a wanted man to justice.

Quapaw Indian Day

Members of the Quapaw Nation will display their artwork and speak of their culture and history. There will be a stick-ball demonstration as well. This is an opportunity for students of the Trail of Tears, or families exploring their own heritage, to speak with people holding a unique view of history.

A fairy tale, such s Goldy Locks, will end up in court, with Goldy being charged with rude behavior for entering the home of the Three Little Bears uninvited. All roles in the trial, including defendant, are held by children attending the event. The trial will be presided over by Judge Parker.
