National Historic Site – Execution Program

June 30 @ 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

There were 8 men executed in the month of June.  Steve Raney will tell their stories, as well as the stories of their victims.  The program begins in the courtroom and guests will move out to the gallows for the program’s conclusion.  Those executed in June include a man whose neck was not broken and it took him longer than an hour to die at the end of the rope, and the man who made the famous quote about seeing the noose for the first time in the bottom of a whiskey glass.

Regular admission fees and park passes apply.
